We process information to operate and secure the website, respond to requests, perform conflict and eligibility checks, evaluate possible engagements, take precontractual steps at your request, comply with legal and professional duties, and establish or defend legal claims. Depending on the context, processing is based on your consent, requested precontractual measures, contractual or legal obligations, or another basis permitted by Ecuadorian law.

3. How the inquiry form works

When you submit the inquiry form, the information is transmitted from this page to FormSubmit, which relays it by email to TZM. The website does not open your email application and does not maintain a separate TZM database of form entries. FormSubmit processes the information only to provide the transmission service under its own privacy terms. Do not include highly sensitive or privileged information before TZM confirms an engagement in writing.

4. Recipients and international processing

Information may be accessible to authorized TZM professionals and to service providers needed for hosting, form delivery, cybersecurity, communications, document management and professional support, including FormSubmit for website inquiries. Information may be processed outside Ecuador when a chosen provider operates internationally. TZM seeks contractual, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and the applicable legal requirements.

5. Retention

We retain inquiry and correspondence data only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, assess conflicts, document the outcome of the inquiry, meet professional or legal obligations, and protect legal rights. Retention periods vary with the nature of the matter. Information that is no longer required is deleted, anonymized or securely isolated, subject to lawful exceptions.

6. Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in Ecuador’s Organic Law on Personal Data Protection, you may request information and access, rectification or updating, deletion, objection, suspension or limitation of processing, portability where applicable, withdrawal of consent, and review of any solely automated decision. TZM does not currently make solely automated decisions through this website.

• We may request proportionate information to verify identity and protect the data from unauthorized disclosure.
• You may also submit a complaint to Ecuador’s Superintendence of Personal Data Protection.

7. Security and confidentiality

TZM applies safeguards designed for the nature of the information and the risks involved. No internet transmission is completely secure, and an initial inquiry is not protected by attorney-client privilege merely because it is sent to the firm. Use the least sensitive channel and content appropriate at this stage.

8. Cookies and external links

TZM does not deploy analytics or advertising cookies in this version of the website. The hosting environment may use strictly necessary technologies for access, security and delivery. Links to external services are governed by those services’ privacy notices.
